In April 2023, Pedro Ricardo started his last practicum for his degree in Systems Engineering. He is working at a software development company called SSASA in Guatemala City.
It develops programs to automate operations at hospitals and banks. Pedro had to write a company exam before he was allowed to work on real projects.
He passed with flying colours. The practicum was to be for one week but the company has asked him to stay for an additional week.
At Aldea Maya, Pedro had developed a database manager to assist us in keeping records for our sponsored students. He had showed that project to SSASA and it helped him get this amazing practicum.
Pedro also is essential at keeping ALL our computers in the learning centre up and running. He also tutors our students on computer classes. Pedro has been sponsored since 2008.
