Today the a grade 3 class in Chuk Muk started a garden experiment. The students were broken into 3 groups. Each group will be working with a different type of bush bean seed. The students put a seed into a petri dish lined with moist paper towels.

They are going to see which seed germinates first and watch the whole germination process.

They then headed out to plant their seed in the garden. The students will be monitoring how quickly the seed breaks through the soil and then start measuring it’s growth, how big it get’s, the number of leaves it has and how many green beans it produces.
