Road tripping
This year we have 13 students graduating high school. Quite an accomplishment. We want to help give them the best opportunities for their future. One of those opportunities is a scholarship to San Carlos University. San Carlos is an almost free university that offers well over 100 career choices…..like doctor, dentist, physiotherapist, civil engineer…careers we cannot afford to send students on but are much needed in the community.
We needed to rent a van and take the students to Guatemala City to write these exams. The trip can take over 5 hours each way due to traffic. Each student will have to write a minimum of 3 exams. These exams are very difficult. This is our 4th year having students graduate high school and we have had one student be successful in receiving a San Carlos scholarship…..Miguel who is studying to be a teacher and teacher administrator.
