Today in Chukumuk we visited the kindergarden classes. The children were excited to let me know they are cleaning their teeth and showed me their teeth.
Next we took pictures of each child for next years Christmas cards. We were also able to give each boy an Oceanside soccer jersey. The kids here LOVE soccer so you can imageine how excited they were. Also these jerseys lasy for years and help these poor families clothes themselves.
The girls received hand knit sweaters from my auntie Ronnie and her friends in Australia. As well as sweaters from Bev Philip’s mom and a friend of Leanne Parsons. These sweaters are gorgeous and warm. I never find it cold here but the locals find it very cold in the morning and night and are often wearing scarves, sweaters, toques and mittens. For a Canadian from the frozen north it is quite hilarious!!!
